Whole Wheat Peanut Spread Cookies

With the weather slowly turning nice to us, coffee and tea breaks have become a must! But tea time comes with high-carb tea cakes and cookies, especially store bought ones. But fret not, we have a simple hack for that - Whole Wheat Peanut Spread Cookies - ones you can make at home in almost no time. These peanut spread cookies not only make a great addition to your tea time, they also add a punch of protein to your snack.

So, here's how you go about this fun recipe:

All you need:

  • 1 12 cups whole wheat flour
  • 12 teaspoon baking powde
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup High Protein Peanut Spread
  • 13 cup light butter spreadable
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg

Recipe:

 

  1. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the High Protein Peanut Spread and tub light butter and beat until smooth.
  3. Add the sugar and egg and beat until combined.
  4. Add in flour mixture and beat until all the flour is combined.
  5. Shape the dough into small 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Press the balls flat with the tines of a fork, making a criss-cross pattern on the top of each cookie (remember to wipe off fork bottom every so often or the cookies will start sticking to it).
  7. Bake at 180° C for 10 to 15 minutes, until the edges are barely browned.
  8. Remove from sheet and cool.

You can make around 45 cookies with this list!
