Peanut Spread: Benefits for Diabetes!
Diabetes and peanut butter - sounds strange right? Well fear not diabetics, it’s more healthy than you think! Peanuts are, in fact, a great source of magnesium which is a very important source to prevent the effects of diabetes.
Natural peanut butter also has a low glycemic index (GI) which means they have a lower effect of blood sugar levels. This is caused by peanuts being low in carbs and high in protein, fat, and fibers which makes it great for us in general!

Omega-6 comprises around 30 percent of the fatty acids in peanut butter. While omega-3 fatty acids tend to reduce inflammation, some omega-6 fatty acids, such as linoleic acid, can aggravate inflammation. As diabetes is an inflammatory condition, it is possible that the omega-6 fatty acids in peanut butter could make some aspects of diabetes worse, so choose your brand wisely.
